Heaptalk, Jakarta — The West Kutai Regency Government is preparing to welcome President Joko Widodo on November 3 to witness the Dahau Festival and visit several locations in the regency.

Chief of East Kalimantan Regional Police Inspector General Nanang Avianto inspected the preparations to ensure all visit agendas could run smoothly. “This check aims to ensure our readiness to welcome President Joko Widodo to attend the 24th West Kutai Anniversary on November 5, 2023,” said Nanang.

In more detail, several locations that President Joko Widodo will visit are the Sendawar Cultural Park in Barong Tongkok Village, the Aji Tulur Jejangkat Bridge in Melak Ilir Village, the Al Muttaqin Islamic Center Mosque in Melak Ulu Village, and the West Kutai Police Station on Gajah Mada Street Barong Tongkok Village.

On the occasion, Nanang also instructed all levels of West Kutai Police personnel to adjust the implementation of the Mantap Brata operation to the planning stages for the upcoming 2024 election. Thus, he hopes that activities can proceed as planned.

Nanang added, “This instruction aims to inventory the worst things in the series of activities for the upcoming 2024 election. We ask the progress of rayonization with existing stakeholders and systems can always be monitored.”

In addition, he also directed his members to carry out their duties sincerely in serving the community according to their respective main tasks and functions. This concept must be applied in work aligned with current developments and dynamics.

Nanang further expects that all tasks must be planned well to obtain good results. “All members must work well if the organization wants to do well too. That way, in the future all tasks will obtain good results too. I ask all personnel to stay away from drugs. I don’t like always controlling members. If (violations) are found again, we will take firm action,” Nanang concluded. (Translated by Sinta)
