Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Bontang City Communication and Informatics Department took part in the national coordination meeting for electronic-based government systems (SPBE) held by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics at the Mulia Senayan Hotel, Jakarta on October 16-19, 2023.
This meeting aims to improve the national SPBE infrastructure and its applications, coordinate and assist the integration and development of government agency applications, as well as prepare other supporting technologies such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse, and superapp.
Attending the first day of the meeting, the Head of the Bontang City Communication and Informatics Department Anwar Sadar said that the national coordination meeting for SPBE was an important agenda, making him bring four officials from his Department and other regional apparatuses such as the Organization and Management Section (Ortal) and the Planning, Research and Development Agency (Baperlitbang).
“We included a team that manages SPBE in Bontang City. The aim is for them to understand the development and acceleration of SPBE as well as central and regional collaboration in implementing SPBE,” said Anwar in Jakarta (10/17).
Currently, the implementation of SPBE in Bontang City is categorized as moderate. Anwar voiced, “We have implemented the SPBE. However, the implementation index has not been boosted since we have not prepared the roadmap and business plan.”
Creating 60 govt service apps
According to Anwar, his party has not fulfilled the two indicators yet due to a lack of understanding of SPBE by regional apparatuses. “Most (regional apparatus organizations) work from the back first, namely on an electronic basis, and forget about these two indicators. After learning from Andi’s book, I recognized that what we were doing was wrong since a roadmap had not been created. For this reason, in 2024 I will pursue a roadmap and business plan to achieve the target of integrating existing services,” he explained.
To date, the Bontang City Government has created approximately 60 government service applications. Anwar added, “But after I joined, slowly things have been improved and integrated. This way, we do not need to create a new application.”
One of the applications that has been integrated is E-Pasien at regional public hospitals which allows patients to register online from anywhere. After registering through the app, patients can go to the hospital to wait their turn to receive health services. The examination results are immediately uploaded to the system and patients can redeem medicines at the pharmacy.
“This has been applied in several health facilities in Bontang City, including 2 community health centers (Puskesmas). Meanwhile, 6 other community health centers will soon follow the integration. After all (government-owned health facilities) are completed, private hospitals will also be integrated into the system,” he conveyed.
In addition, the Bontang City Government has also developed an application that focuses on handling stunting issues called Sirindu. Anwar said, “This has also started to be integrated as they are both in health facilities.” In closing, Anwar emphasized the need to socialize the integration of service apps to policymakers, in this case, heads of regional apparatus organizations. Therefore, they have the same understanding of digital transformation. (Translated by Sinta)
