Heaptalk, Jakarta — Bappenas conducted the National Development Planning Conference (Musrenbengnas), with the Acceleration of Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth theme, to prepare a Government Work Plan (RKP) for next year.

Held as the culmination of the consolidation of development proposals through a series of desks from 28 April – 8 May 2024, this deliberation became the momentum for President Jokowi to convey important directions regarding national development planning.

“We possess long, medium, and RKP development plans. However, the aspect that needs improvement is synchronization. For this reason, I look forward to ministries and regional governments working in harmony,” Indonesia’s President, Joko Widodo, said.

Head of Bappenas, Suharso Manoarfa, The initial draft of the 2025 RKP contains an agenda that refers to the final draft of the 2025 – 2029 National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN), including several agendas related to the elected President’s program.

“Integration with the program of the elected President will continue until the government’s 2025 work plan is determined,” affirmed Suharso.

The RKP must implement basic principles, such as harmonizing central and regional programs, orienting to productive results, and accurately calculating targets and budget allocation strategies. To achieve a Golden Indonesia, the implementation of the RPJMN must be guided by the 2025 – 2045 RPJPN.

“To retain the development coherence, central and regional governments are expected to be aligned, specifically on Macro Development Indicators and program and activity plans,” Suharso said.

Additionally, Bappenas discussed central and regional planning during the transition period, inviting resource persons from various related agencies and the central and regional governments.

Multiple parties attended the event, including Deputy for Monitoring, Evaluation and Control of Development, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Erwin Dimas, Director General of Regional Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Restuardy Daud, Director General of Financial Balance, Ministry of Finance, Luky Alfirman, Acting Deputy for Regional Development, Tri Dewi Virgiyanti, Governor of the Islands, Riau Anshar Ahmad, and Chancellor of IPB University, Hermanto Siregar.
