Heaptalk, Jakarta — Tangerang City has been officially declared as a Comprehensive City by the Indonesian Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
This declaration was directly conveyed to the Acting Mayor of Tangerang, Dr. Nurdin, during an event held at Novotel, Tangcity, Tangerang City, on Thursday (30/5).
“Today, we declare Tangerang City as one of the 14 Comprehensive Cities across Indonesia. Besides the declaration of 14 Comprehensive Cities across Indonesia, we also implemented electronic certificates for the entire Banten Province,” said AHY.
The simultaneous declaration of the 14 Comprehensive Cities was conducted in person for this city. In comparison, the other 13 cities, including Surabaya I, Surabaya II, Probolinggo, Pontianak, Blitar, Kediri, Mojokerto, Bukittinggi, Magelang, Sukabumi, Cimahi, Langsa, and Lhokseumawe, were conducted virtually.
In his remarks, the Acting Mayor of Tangerang, Dr. Nurdin, expressed that the declaration of Tangerang as a Comprehensive City is a commitment to ensuring the certainty of every land parcel in Tangerang City and is part of the government’s effort to expedite services to the public.
“This land base becomes the foundation for all, recognizing the rights to land ownership in Tangerang City,” explained Dr. Nurdin.
The University of Indonesia alumnus welcomed this declaration and is committed to continuously improving the quality of public services in land affairs and spatial planning.
“This achievement is very positive. We will continue to strive to maintain and enhance the status of a Comprehensive City. This declaration motivates us to keep providing better services to the public,” he concluded.
