Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia and Azerbaijan continue to amplify cooperation to accelerate public services. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas conveyed that the current cooperation is enhanced through an action plan to accelerate public services in Indonesia and Azerbaijan. This action plan consists of various workshops, knowledge sharing, and the development of public service delivery, which will be carried out over two years.
He appreciated this further step in strengthening public services. Moreover, the United Nations (UN) has recognized ASAN Xidmat as one of the world’s best public service centers. Indonesia replicated this best practice by creating MPP, which now numbers 207.
“Indonesia and Azerbaijan have had long-standing cooperation, and Indonesia has been inspired and has adopted best practices through MPP. We continue to replicate and perfect these practices according to various needs and developments, including implementing action plans to accelerate public services in both countries,” Minister Anas said.
The digitization of public services was also a topic discussed. Anas claimed that the archipelago is developing a Digital MPP, expecting to facilitate public access to government services. His party also integrated various services into the Public Service Portal.
“We also appreciate the breakthroughs continuously developed by Azerbaijan, including digital services and mobile service buses to create an integrated public service ecosystem,” said Minister Anas.
On this occasion, the Head of the Public Service and Social Innovation Agency of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev, appreciated Indonesia for replicating ASAN Xidmat into MPP and stated that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia in public services has been productive. With this action plan, Indonesia and Azerbaijan can exchange knowledge, stories, and experiences related to public services.
Previously, the cooperation between the two countries began in 2017, adopting ASAN Xidmat. As is known, ASAN Xidmat is an integrated service center recognized by the UN as the best in the world, and it has now become the Public Service Mall (MPP) in Indonesia.
“We want to continue developing cooperation and innovation in public services, including advancing service centers towards digitalization. We will collaborate on digitalizing public services, including providing digital solutions,” concluded Ulvi.
