Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) pointed out parties suspected of abusing their authority to issue sea building rights in Tangerang Regency, Banten.

“There are allegations of abuse of authority at the land office level and surveyor work related to the issuance of ownership certificates and building rights certificates,” said Herzaky Mahendra Putra, spokesperson for Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, in a written statement on Tuesday (01/28).

Herzaky revealed that Agus also highlighted the performance of the local government, which instead issued Approval for Space Utilization Activities and Regional Spatial Plans. However, Agus emphasized that the physical form is the sea.

Furthermore, Agus added that the actions of local government officials must be investigated further. Moreover, the issuance of Approval for Space Utilization Activities and Regional Spatial Plans is claimed to be the reference for the head of the Tangerang Land Office in signing the building rights certificates and ownership certificates for the sea fence located in Kohod, Tangerang.

“Regarding the alleged abuse of authority, Coordinating Minister AHY has urged an investigation and the results to be made public. He has received reports that the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency is carrying this out,” said Herzaky.

On the other hand, Agung Sedayu Group has acknowledged ownership of the building rights certificates located in the sea fence area of Tangerang. According to Agung Sedayu’s legal counsel, Muannas Alaidid, the location is in Kohod Village, Pakuhaji District.

Muannas stated that the certificate is registered under PT Intan Agung Makmur (IAM) and PT Cahaya Inti Sentosa (CIS). However, Agung Sedayu Group claimed that the building rights certificates were obtained using the applicable mechanisms and regulations. The certificate was purchased from residents and is complete with Approval for Space Utilization Activities. Then, Agung Sedayu Group changed the name and paid the tax.
