Heaptalk, Jakarta — Acting Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Andap Budhi Revianto, accompanied by the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Branch of Bank Indonesia (BI), Doni Septadijaya, and the General Director of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Development Bank (BPD), Ronald, attended the National Coordination Meeting on Regional Digitalization Acceleration (P2DD) 2024 at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski in Jakarta on Monday (09/23).
Adopting the theme ‘Local Government Transaction Digitalization for Accelerating Regional Economic Growth,’ this event aimed to support regional financial management, enhance inclusivity, improve public service efficiency, and promote government transparency. The meeting also served as a forum for the leaders of ministries and agencies who are members of the P2DD Task Force, along with all regional heads as Chairpersons of the Regional Digitalization Acceleration Teams (TP2DD), to synchronize strategic policies at both the central and regional levels.
Opening the meeting, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar emphasized that digitalization is part of the President’s directive to enhance government performance. He also underlined the importance of transforming accountability and integrating digital services to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.
In her remarks, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani expressed hope that the coordination would accelerate the P2DD initiative, promote the development of digital economic infrastructure, and improve the management of regional revenue.
Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo highlighted the importance of maintaining the continuity of P2DD to ensure coordination and synergy among various national initiatives, which can speed up digitalization and strengthen regional economic scale.
As the Head of the P2DD Task Force, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto discussed strengthening the ecosystem of regional government digital transactions. He underscored the need for support for P2DD policies, including bolstering the role of Regional Development Banks (BPD) and intensively promoting these policies.
As part of the evaluation and appreciation process, the 2024 TP2DD Award was presented by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, accompanied by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, the Minister of Finance, the Governor of Bank Indonesia, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
During the event, Acting Governor Andap expressed his commitment to accelerating and expanding regional digitalization, particularly in Southeast Sulawesi. “Digitalization is crucial for improving government performance, public service quality, and community welfare,” said Andap.
He also called on all parties, including the government, the public, and the private sector, to collaborate in achieving sustainable development through digitalization. “With strong cooperation, digitalization can become a powerful tool for creating an innovative ecosystem and improving the quality of life for the people,” he emphasized.
The number of digital local governments in Southeast Sulawesi has increased from 10 to 17 districts and cities. Digital local government refers to applying information and communication technology in regional governance. Additionally, the Electronic Transaction Index for Local Governments (IETPD) in Southeast Sulawesi reached 92.5%, an increase of 17.8% from the previous year, in line with the rise in the Digital Competitiveness Index and the Digital Society Index.
