Heaptalk, Jakarta — Hypernet Technologies intends to broaden its Managed Services Providers (MSP) in multiple Indonesia regions, spanning Medan, East Nusa Tenggara, Lombok, Manado, and Banjarmasin to simplify business players in gaining business efficiency in 2024, expecting to contribute to the digital economy in the country.
Indonesia’s digital economy performed significantly, achieving almost US$80 billion in 2023, and projected to reach US$1 trillion by 2030. However, several obstacles still haunt local entrepreneurs in adopting digital technology to improve their business efficiency. Hypernet viewed the managed services providers’ mechanism as a critical element to assist them in experiencing equal access to advanced technology.
According to the Chief Technology Officer of Hypernet Technologies, Sudiono Oei, cybersecurity also remains a critical aspect that should be amplified. To provide end-to-end managed security services for its customers, he claimed that this XL Axiata subsidiary would equip the security with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework-oriented, to grant its customers to obtain identification, protection, detection, response, and security recovery within one place.
Simultaneously, the Director of Digital Economy at Celios, Nailul Huda, also explained that internet penetration contributes to the growth of the archipelago digital economy. He explained that Internet penetration is still high in Indonesia, reaching 78.2% in 2023. Internet users also continue to increase, reaching 215 million people throughout Indonesia.
Nevertheless, he perceived the digital infrastructure gap, limited resources, and cybersecurity as the main obstacles in this industry. In his statement, the security issue might affect the business losses, reaching hundreds of billions.
To avoid this matter, Nailul said that Several elements of cyber security are expected to continue to be improved, which includes the protection of digital services contributing to global security. Nailul realized that the MSP services of Hypernet Technologies could significantly contribute to Indonesia’s digital growth.
“Instead of performing digital enhancement independently, business players who are constrained in budget or human resources, such as MSMEs, can choose managed service providers who can offer qualified technology and cyber security resources,” Nailul said during the press conference.
Prior to expanding its MSP services in multiple locations in the country, the CEO of Hypernet Technologies, Sudianto Oei, stated that Hypernet has served more than 4,000 customers in diverse industries and business scales, including MSMEs and corporations, this year. He emphasized that the company will continue to boost Indonesia’s digital economy in 2024, primarily focusing on providing access to information and communication technology for business players throughout Indonesia.
