Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indonesia Exhibition Companies Association (Asperapi) organized Asperapi National Meeting (Munas) XII 2025 from 21 to 22 February 2025 at Jiexpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This agenda aims to strengthen Indonesia’s position as one of the world’s leading MICE industry and prepare strategic steps to achieve Indonesia Emas 2045.
In more detail, the Chairman of Asperapi, Hosea Andreas Runkat, explained, “In this agenda, we discuss Articles of Incorporation and House Rule (AD/RT), chairman election, while strengthening collaboration with regional representatives.”
Andreas also confirmed that all 17 regional representatives attended the agenda. Representatives from the central government, including the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, as well as the Indonesia Tourism Industry Association (GIPI), also attended the opening ceremony.
Despite the issue of State Budget efficiency, Andreas, in the opening ceremony of MUNAS Asperapi 2025, conveyed that the exhibition industry will remain strong. The main factor driving the growth of this industry is its fundamental which focus on sponsorship from the private sector.
“The impact of State Budget efficiency is diminutive, only around 5% to 10%. This is because of its fundamental focus on business to business, and 80% of exhibition is event trade,” stated Andreas.
He also mentioned that through MUNAS, the promotor can embrace the impacted event organizers, amplifying collaboration to support them in facing challenging conditions.
“The promotor who focus on the exhibitions mostly keep strong, but the industry players in the small cities, and regencies, which still become event organizers, will feel the impact, so, through this moment, we initiate to strengthen collaboration with them,” voiced Andreas.
Moreover, the agenda becomes a moment of reflection for the members to evaluate and renew existing regulations to be more relevant to the future, which aligns with the theme ‘Innovation, Collaboration, and Transformation of MICE Industry to Achieve Indonesia Gold.’
