Heaptalk, Jakarta — Planet Sports Asia, a leading sports retail brand in Indonesia, will host the Planet Sports Run 2024 on December 8, 2024, at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Around 6,000 participants will attend this year’s running event, almost double the previous year’s. The event features various distance and age categories, including 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, and, for the first time, a Kids Category (ages 6-12). This event welcomes runners of all levels, making running fun and inclusive for everyone.

Adopting the theme ‘Unlock Your Best,’ this year’s agenda encourages participants to challenge themselves, push their limits, and discover how far they can go to become their best version. Using a point-based reward system, this running event is a testament to the brand’s commitment to inspiring and encouraging the public to view running as a sport and part of a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Participants are invited to collect Planet Sports Run points every time they move, starting from registration and completing various exciting missions before and during race day, such as Thursday Strength Training and Sunday Run Day. These points can later be exchanged for shopping vouchers.

Unlike last year, Planet Sports Run 2024 offers additional benefits for participants and MAP Club members. During the event period, from today until December 31, every transaction at Planet Sports Asia stores will earn five times the usual MAP Club points.

Panji Cakrasantana, GM of Marketing for MAP Active, expressed great enthusiasm for the second year of this running event. He said, “We are very excited for Planet Sports Run 2024. This event proves Planet Sports Asia’s commitment to providing excellent sports equipment options for athletes and sports enthusiasts. The enthusiasm of last year’s participants motivates us to bring more innovations to Planet Sports Run 2024 so that people from all walks of life in Indonesia are encouraged to participate.”
