Heaptalk, Jakarta — To boost the Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) program and reduce dependency on imported products, the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, through the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM), is holding the 13th Business Matching event. This event takes place over four days from June 10 to 13, 2024, on the Ground Floor of Block G, Grha Ali Sadikin Meeting Hall, DKI Jakarta City Hall.
In her remarks, the Head of the DKI Jakarta PPKUKM Department, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that the 13th Business Matching organized by the DKI Provincial Government is expected to serve as a bridge for the Provincial Government to reach Rp400 trillion, approximately US$24.5 billion (US$1 equals Rp16,293) in domestic product spending. “I hope that our colleagues from regional apparatus organizations (OPD) can leverage this event to realize the target set,” explained Elisabeth.
If the target is reached, the OPDs and business actors can contribute to reducing the unemployment rate by 2 million people. She voiced, “Imagine among them are our relatives or family members, how happy we would feel. That’s why from now on, we should use domestic products and reduce imports from abroad.”
Hermin Setiawati, Deputy Assistant for Coordination of Tourism and Creative Economy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, welcomed the event. According to her, the steps taken by the DKI Provincial Government could be emulated by other regional governments. She is optimistic that with many regional and central governments holding business matching events to promote pride in Indonesian-made products, the target of 100% usage of Indonesian products, as echoed by President Joko Widodo, can be achieved.
The 13th Business Matching is participated by 19 companies from Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, Semarang, and Surabaya. The participants obtained certificates of Domestic Component Level (TKDN), including DesktopIP.
