Heaptalk, Jakarta — The 24th Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair, Inacraft, is slated to be held on February 28 to March 3, 2024 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Organized by the Association of Exporter and Producers of Indonesian Handicraft (Asephi) and Mediatama Binakreasi, Southeast Asia’s largest craft expo is estimated to bag about US$6.4 million retail transaction with the trade contacts of US$ 12 million.
“This event is not only an exhibition but also a place to build good relationship between MSMEs, and also support the national education and culture. Inacraft also contributes to enhance Indonesia’s economy,” stated the Chairman of Asephi, Muchsin Ridjan during the press conference on Tuesday at Kakatua Room, JCC (02/27).
Muchsin explained this event will involve 1,500 MSMEs which will occupy 1,066 booths which consist of 850 Asephi’s members, 650 non-Asephi’s members. Followed by thousands of exhibitors who showcase various craft products, the five-days event aims to attract 100,000 visitors.

In more detail, Asephi’s General Secretary Baby Jurmawati uttered that the association also focus to attract buyers for trade contact. To date, Baby stated that 135 foreign buyers are confirmed to attend the event.
“For the trade contact, we have trade mission from Johor and Serawak, particularly Kuching. Other countries, such as from Australia, the US, and Japan, also are confirmed to attend the event. To welcome them, we have special preparation,” said Baby.
Regarding the event’s implementation, Baby explained that the 24th Inacraft adopts main theme “From Smart Village to Global Market” with “World Craftpreneurs Under One Roof” as the sub theme. Employing the sub theme for the first time, the event to showcase fresh concept by organizing a talk show about Indonesia’s traditional music instruments which was categorized as craft.
