Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indonesia’s largest F&B expo, the 24th SIAL InterFood, is officially open at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran (11/08). Organized by Krista Exhibitions on November 8-11, the international expo is held in conjunction with Seafood Show Asia Expo 2023 and INAShop Expo 2023 and managed to host 895 companies derived from 20 countries worldwide.

CEO of Krista Exhibitions Daud Salim, during the opening ceremony of SIAL Interfood 2023, conveyed, “This event is a comprehensive platform which connects exhibitors and visitors, and (the expo) also features business matching session which connects the industry players to capture new business potential and develop their business” (11/08).

Daud conveyed that the industry players’ enthusiasm to the event remains high and contributed to the significant increase in the exhibitor numbers to attain 20% compare to the previous year. Amongst the exhibitors, Daud stated that Krista Exhibition also provides opportunities for MSMEs to spur their businesses globally. Therefore, in this expo, Krista Exhibitions hosted 100 MSMEs who aim to expand their business and penetrate international market.

Supporting the organizing of SIAL InterFood 2023, Directorate General of Export Development, Trade Ministry, Didi Sumedi, stated, “The appointment of Indonesia as one of the countries who host the organizing of SIAL Interfood proven that the country has great potential in F&B sector which is recognized worldwide. In addition to Jakarta, SIAL Network also holds the event in several business cities worldwide.”

In response to the expo, the Chairman of the Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs Association (GAPMMI) Andhi Lukman appreciated Krista Exhibitions in organizing this event. Lukman conveyed that GAPMMI has delivered a real support to the event by inviting 17 SMEs under the association. This event also aims to support the materialization of national programs, Indonesia Spice Up The World and Proud of Indonesian-made products.

“Participating in this event, GAPMMI hopes the members can obtain many prospective buyers and get more positive benefit to grow their business,” stated Lukman.
