Heaptalk, Jakarta — Deep and Extreme Indonesia (DXI) 2025 is back to offer outdoor tourism experiences for lifestyle and sports enthusiasts. The event is taking place from May 2 to 4, 2025, at Hall B, Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).
Michael Bayu Sumarijanto, President Director of Dyandra Event Solutions, stated that the goal of DXI is to position Indonesia as a world-class outdoor tourism destination. Multiple destination representatives also participate in the event to promote their offerings to visitors. Michael added that Indonesia’s diving sector continues to grow, alongside the increasing popularity of extreme automotive sports year after year.
“Promoting Indonesia as a world-class outdoor tourism destination by showcasing its extraordinary natural beauty,” Michael said during the official opening of DXI 2025 in Jakarta on Friday (05/02).
Cecep Rukendi, Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy at the Ministry of Creative Economy, was also present at the opening. He noted that events like DXI are crucial in promoting Indonesia’s offerings. “DXI has consistently promoted Indonesia—its tourism, creative economy, sports—all tied to the beauty and richness that the country possesses,” Cecep explained.
Cecep said the Ministry of Creative Economy appreciates the growth and innovation DXI brings year after year. This year, he especially commended including a mermaid show amid the many promotional and commercial activities.
DXI organized a series of pre-events leading up to the main event to showcase Indonesia’s adventure potential. These included paragliding in Bali, motorcycle touring to Labuan Bajo, diving in the waters of Flores, and base jumping at Lake Toba. During the exhibition, visitors can participate in various interactive outdoor activities, including scuba diving experiences, paragliding games, adventure motorcycle test rides, and airsoft gun shooting trials.
