Muslim Life Fest 2023 will be held for three days on August 25-27, 2023, at the ICE BSD, with 250 exhibitors from 14 categories.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KPMI) and Lima Event will present a business exhibition of halal products and the sharia industry, the Indonesia Muslim Lifestyle Festival (Muslim Life Fest) for three days on August 25-27, 2023, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE BSD), Banten.
This third event will carry a fresh concept by presenting a sportainment through a badminton competition for influencers and visitors in collaboration with Kasisolusi, sharia financing services for automotive needs in collaboration with BMT Ash-Shiddiq and the Parjo automotive community, as well as a V60 manual brewing coffee serving competition in collaboration with the Indonesian Coffee Association (Aski).
In addition, Serlok Kuliner, which was initiated by Uki Kautsar and Reda Samudra, will enliven the culinary zone as in the Muslim Life Fair Jakarta 2023. The event, which occupies an area of 10,000 sqm, will be participated by 250 exhibitors from 14 categories, covering modest fashion, Muslimah accessories, Islamic weddings, thibbun nabawi herbs, FMCG, children’s products, hobbies and communities, Islamic education, Islamic books & publishers, household appliances, Hajj & Umrah travel, financial institutions, halal cosmetics, as well as safe, healthy, and halal culinary.
With this new concept, the Director of PT Lima Event Indonesia Deddy Andu is optimistic that this year Muslim Life Fest can attract 40,000 visitors. First held in 2019, this event has grown as a trendsetter in the development of the halal product business in Indonesia.
Further, business actors in halal products and Islamic finance consider this event a strategic moment to introduce their latest products and services, expand business networks, find insights, strengthen friendships, and increase the capacity of muamalah fiqh which is the foundation of running a business according to the Sunnah.
Ecosystem strengthening for halal product business actors
“The event entitled ‘Collaboration for the Ummah’ is expected to be a platform for collaboration among Muslims to jointly support the growth of the Sharia economy in Indonesia, as well as build strong partnerships in an effort to achieve shared economic prosperity,” said Andu.
According to Andu, 60% of exhibitors are loyal participants who have experienced the benefits of this event. They are not only from Jabodetabek and West Java but also from outside Java such as Sumatra and Papua. The remaining 40% are new participants.
Meanwhile, KPMI representative Teuku Fadhil Aruna said that the Muslim Life Fair and Muslim Life Fest which are held simultaneously in several cities are intended to strengthen the ecosystem for business actors in halal products as well as sharia economy and finance.
“Muslim Lifefest is an effective event to socialize and enliven Islamic economic and financial literacy and inclusion. Therefore, we invite various parties to collaborate with each other to realize the target at least the closest this year is 1 million halal certifications for food, beverage, as well as slaughter and its services,” said Fadhil during the press conference in Jakarta (08/16).
Fadhil further conveyed that there will be awards for business actors who have been halal certified. Later, the five business actors who won the award will be given a standard-sized free booth at Halal Expo Indonesia. After the implementation of the Muslim Life Fest at ICE BSD, KPMI and Lima Events plan to hold a Muslim Life Fair in Bandung City on November 3-5, 2023.
