Heaptalk, Jakarta — Muslim Life Fair 2024 is officially commenced by Acting Executive Director, Executive Management, National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) Dr. Taufik Hidayat at Hall B3 of Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran (03/08).

In his remarks, Taufik said that the Muslim Life Fair (Mufair), which is the opening of the National Halal Fair 2024 series, is expected to accelerate business growth in the halal MSME sector, expand collaboration to revive the community’s economy through utilizing MSMEs and strengthen friendship in the holy month of Ramadhan. KNEKS is holding the National Halal Fair 2024 in 12 provinces simultaneously during the month of Ramadan 1445 H.

“The Muslim Life Fair in the 2024 National Halal Fair series is a strategic means to improve the image, marketing, and visibility of halal products. This way, public literacy regarding the implementation of sharia economics also increases,” Taufik voiced at JIExpo Kemayoran (03/08).

Entitled Muslim Family Festival, this year’s exhibition aims to scale up the Sharia economic and financial literacy index. Based on the 2022 Bank Indonesia survey, the national sharia economic and financial literacy index has only reached 23.3%, an increase from the previous year, which was only 16.3%. However, as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, this attainment is not yet ideal. Vice President Ma’ruf Amin targets a Sharia economic and financial literacy index of 50%.

The presence of the Muslim Life Fair 2024 as part of the National Halal Fair plays a role in supporting the development of the Sharia economy and halal industry in the country. Moreover, Bank Indonesia estimates that Indonesia’s Sharia economic growth will reach 4.7-5.5%, aligned with the economic growth which is also predicted to grow in the same range.

Presenting Affordable Ramadan Bazaar

This year’s exhibition delivers a series of inspiring events about family, parenting, and even Islamic business. Several expert speakers consisting of psychologists, academics, Muslim entrepreneurs, artists, and religious figures will share their knowledge and experiences in parenting classes, talk shows, and sharing sessions.

In addition, Mufair 2024 holds an Affordable Ramadan Bazaar with discounts of up to 75%. At the bazaar, visitors can enjoy numerous attractive offers, such as flash sales, cheap redemptions, and date promos. “When the fasting month arrives, prices of necessities usually increase. Through the Affordable Ramadan Bazaar, we hope that the Muslim Life Fair can help family visitors meet their needs during the month of Ramadan while improving parenting knowledge,” explained Lima Event General Manager Ilham Pradipta.

There are a total of 130 exhibitor booths for diverse needs, including fashion & accessories, Islamic education, halal travel & Umrah, halal herbal, Sharia wedding, kids & baby products, Islamic books and publishers, halal cosmetics, multi products, as well as safe halal culinary and healthy.
