Heaptalk, Jakarta — Mangrove Indonesia Lestari Foundation hold a sustainability award Harmony in Green: A Night of Sustainable Excellence last Friday (06/07). Taking place at Acacia Hotel and Resort Jakarta, this event presented award for people, organizations, and corporates who conducted concrete sustainability actions.
Together with the foundation, the winners have actively supported the green action by cultivating mangrove, restoring coral reef, and conducting socialisation to improve sustainability awareness.
The agenda was opened by the Director of Mangrove Rehabilitation, the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Inge Retnowati. In her opening remarks, she delivered her appreciation to various parties for their collaborative action to preserve Indonesia’s nature.
She also underscored the importance of collaboration between government, private sectors, organization, and society in maintaining mangrove and coastal environment.
She added, “This award is expected to motivate more parties to be actively involved in preserving our nature for the sake of the national sustainable ecosystem in the future.”
Organizing this occasion, the Founder of Mangrove Indonesia Lestari Foundation Paundra Hanutama, “We appreciate the dedication and commitment of all parties in supporting our sustainability action. This award is not solely an appreciation, but also motivate us to continue and enhance our effort to preserve nature. Together we can create a better future that is greener and sustainable.”
Moreover, Paundra stated the award is not only a celebration, but a moment to strengthen relationship and collaboration in performing sustainability action. Through this event, Paundra expected to inspire more people and parties to carry out eco-friendly move.
