Heaptalk, Jakarta – Entering the second day, Halal Fair Series, which was held in conjunction with Halal Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS), managed to attract over twenty thousand visitors. This event has its own magnet, considering the various exhibitors who enliven the expo which comes from both Indonesia and international.
The promotor Wahyu Promo Citra reported that most of the foreign exhibitors are from Malaysia, with a total of 48 MSMEs showcasing 80 featured products in Malaysia’s halal product pavilion. The presence of Malaysia’s MSMEs on this occasion is supported by Selangor Government to assist the small business in the country in achieving new market share.
“We truly work really hard and hope our products can penetrate Indonesia’s market because our workers are 100% Muslim. We target to achieve trade transaction of RM 5 million or Rp 16.7 billion,” stated CEO, GEO Artha International Zuraini Hasanuddin, who also sits as the Malaysia’s delegation leader in Halal Fair and HIITS 2023.
Moreover, the chairman of the world halal product promotion agency of World Islamic Marketing and Trade Chamber (WIMTC), Zuber, who also participated in the event, highlighted the importance of cross-country connectivity for MSMEs to market their featured halal products.
“We find a global market opportunity to revive MSMEs and promote them to level up by connecting Malaysia’s MSMEs with Indonesia. For this reason, business matching in this expo is crucial,” said Zuber.
Through the organization, Zuber strives to enhance economic power by promoting excellent halal products from Muslim’s enterprises. Moreover, products made by Indonesia’s MSMEs, such as consumer goods and horticulture products, including fruits, vegetables, coffee, and tea, also succeed in attracting visitors. Other Indonesian products, such as furniture and cosmetics made from agarwood, also succeeded in attracting Malaysia’s importers.
