Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia has successfully seized five awards in the ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) 2024. The awards include two gold, one silver, and two bronze in the digital startup and private sector categories.
In more detail, multiple Indonesian representatives gained this award, including the Crustea Team and Shieldtag (Gold Winner), Anthropology Team (Silver Winner), and Jaramba and Incrane Team (Bronze Winner).
“We don’t expect to win 1st place because our startup has only been around for less than two years. This achievement motivates us to continue developing our company and will benefit farmers and other sectors.” One of the winners who served as CEO and Founder of Crustea, Roikhanatun Nafi’ah, said.
According to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), Mira Tayyiba, “This achievement indicates Kominfo’s Digital Startup program has run quite effectively. I have been informed that around five prominent digital startups attain the top five, only Indonesian startups.”
In her further statement, Mira revealed that the Directorate General of Informatics Applications at Kominfo has several programs to facilitate the development of national digital startups, from collecting ideas to mentors and investor discovery.
“I appreciate the five Indonesian delegates’ achievements in the 2024 ASEAN Digital Awards. We must understand the essential points of business processes to succeed because the trade business process differs from agriculture.” Mira added.
Meanwhile, the Director of Digital Economy of the Directorate General of Informatics Applications at Kominfo, Bonifasius Pudjianto, appreciated the achievements of five Indonesian representatives in the ADA 2024 event. Based on his perspective, the winners have contributed to innovation and implementation in every sector.
“Therefore, we will continue encouraging further startup development programs and strengthening digital downstream in strategic sectors,” added Pudjianto.
As an information, ADA 2024, previously known as the ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA), is a prestigious awards event given to organizations, businesses, and individuals who have pioneered innovative products and services that have contributed significantly to the digital landscape in Southeast Asia. The event identity change aims to recognize the use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT), for ASEAN’s digital economy progress.
