Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indo Leather and Footwear Expo 2023 organized by Krista Exhibitions is officially open at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) 2023, Kemayoran, Jakarta. According to CEO of Krista Exhibitions Daud D. Salim, the B2B event will support the economic growth of the leather and footwear industry as well as bring a great boon to the national economy considering its role, which potentially brings investment to the archipelago.
“ILF Expo 2023 aims to support the growth of leather and footwear businesses which have demonstrated positive growth,” stated Daud during the Opening Ceremony of ILF 2023 (08/03).
In more detail, Daud conveyed that the total number of exhibitors at ILF 2023 increased exponentially to 30% compared to the previous year. ILF 2023 also managed to attract private sectors from 8 countries, including India, Italy, China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and France.

Contributing to this event, the Chairman of Indonesian Footwear Association (APRISINDO) Eddy Widjanarko stated, “Despite the world economy downturn which leads to the demand depression, Indonesia’s footwear industry, today, is still attractive. This fact is demonstrated by the increased number of investment values of this industry.”
Moreover, Eddy also conveyed that the number of made-in-Indonesia shoes is dominant compares to other countries worldwide, therefore, Aprisindo intends to promote production and invite foreign investors to disburse their capital in Indonesia.
For information, ILF 2023 is held for three days from 3-5 August 2023 and participated by 200 exhibitors, both from domestic and international businesses. Organizing this event, Krista exhibition aims to attract 10,000 visitors from various countries.
The implementation of this event also is in conjunction with Indo Garment and Textile Expo 2023 and the 40th International Footwear Conference which invited numerous delegates from 17 countries which cooperate with APRISINDO.
