Heaptalk, Jakarta — Currently, the Indonesian economy is growing by 5.04% and is predicted to increase amidst the world’s economic turbulence.

Director General of Domestic Trade Isy Karim delivered his optimism about Indonesia’s economic growth when opening the Info Franchise & Business Concept (IFBC) 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE BSD) Tangerang, Banten (02/23). This optimism derives from the presence of numerous business and franchise exhibitions, including IFBC. According to Isy Karim, IFBC 2024 can be a bridge in the economic sector towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

“This activity is carried out to activate the spirit of entrepreneurship to accelerate economic growth,” stated Isy Karim.

Aligned with Isy Karim’s statement, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said that IFBC 2024 could be an alternative for creating entrepreneurs. He further explained that IFBC 2024 is a way to create entrepreneurs as people can learn to run businesses with experienced entrepreneurs.

“Currently there is a shortage of entrepreneurs. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy noted that in 2023 only 9 million entrepreneurs will emerge. This certainly needs to be improved. The goal is for Indonesia to move out of being an upper-middle income country,” Sandiaga voiced in his remarks through a video (02/23).

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Indonesian Franchise Association (AFI) Anang Sukandar urged domestic companies to also take advantage of this exhibition. That way, domestic products can become a trend and be the top of mind brand.

As additional information, IFBC 2024 is the franchise event which takes place at Hall 1 ICE BSD Tangerang for three days on February 23-25. Around 198 brands consisting of franchises, partnerships, agencies, investments, and distributors joined the event.

“During the exhibition, prospective entrepreneurs can conduct free business consultations with the Indonesian Franchise Association, DK Consulting, FT Consulting, Sarosa Consulting, Benwarg Consulting, Jun Cai Law Firm & Partners,” stated Neo Expo Promosindo as the organizer of IFBC 2024 (02/23).

In addition, prospective entrepreneurs also receive educational programs including knowledge provision from legal experts, consultants, and experienced business people. One of them is the Franchise Synergy online seminar “Financial Management Strategies to Achieve Profitability”.
