Hub.id Partner Day x Nex-BE Fest 2023 was filled with an exhibition of 25 startups, panel discussions, and business matchmaking involving 80 business partners.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Ministry of Communication and Informatics in collaboration with MDI Ventures organized Hub.id Partner Day x Nex-BE Fest in Bali on September 13-14, 2023. This year’s event adopted the theme ‘Fostering Synergy Networks for Stronger Digital Economic Growth’.
Hub.id Partner Day x Nex-BE Fest 2023 aims to bolster digital economic growth through synergy and collaboration between startups and business partners from diverse sectors, including SOEs, private corporations, central and regional governments, and research organizations.
For two days, this event was filled with startup exhibitions, panel discussions, and business matchmaking. A total of 25 startups supported by Hub.id Accelerator filled booths at the exhibition to introduce their brands and products.
The panel discussion presented prominent speakers moderated by the CEO of Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi (TMI) Mia Melinda and the CEO of MDI Pte. Ltd. Sandhy Widyasthana. Business matchmaking brought together 80 startups fostered by Hub.id Accelerator and Telkom Group with 80 business partners for two days with 6 sessions each day.
Attended the event, Vice Minister of the Communication and Informatics Nezar Patria said that lessons learned from the tech winter phenomenon emphasized the importance of developing the appropriate product with a profitable and scalable business model. Nezar said, “Startups need to be supported by building strong networks with strategic partners for startup growth, as is implemented at Hub.id Partner Day x Nex BE Fest 2023.”
Helping startup businesses grow
In line with Nezar Patria, Director General of Information Applications Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan said that this activity was one of the Ministry’s efforts in helping digital startup businesses grow. The government, in this case specifically the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, has moved dynamically, no longer only as a regulator, but also as a facilitator and accelerator.
“The growth of digital startups in Indonesia begins with the formation of a movement to generate innovative ideas, the seeds of the founders, and then the development of human resources with global competency standards. All policies and programs on the downstream side must be supported by the upstream side. What digital startups need after obtaining talent, surely, is a sustainable business,” explained Semuel.
Further, the synergy and collaboration between startups and multiple corporations in the Hub.id Partner Day x Nex-BE Fest 2023 is expected to create positive answers, both mutual and beneficial, not only for startups but also for all business partners involved.
