Heaptalk, Jakarta — Global Sources Indonesia 2024 is set to be organized from 19 to 21 September 2024 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta. The B2B event will present over 80,000 electronic and lifestyle products from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea, featuring cutting-edge technology and innovation.
President Director of Adhouse Clarion Events, Toerangga Putra, said, “Global Sources Indonesia is expected to escalate collaboration between local businesses and international supplies, particularly in electronic and lifestyle sectors that will impact the growth of national business”.
Participated by over 600 curated supplies and manufacturers from Indonesia and abroad, the three-day event is expected to be a comprehensive platform that showcases various solutions and provides wide opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to collaborate, innovate, and share knowledge.
Chairman of Indonesian ICT Business Association (APTIKNAS) Soegiharto Santoso stated, “Global Sources Indonesia not only drives the economic growth, but also provide easy access for electronic businesses to meet suppliers and producers to seek for new products, and enlarge network to reach foreign suppliers with more efficient cost, without go abroad. Moreover, the cost will be reduced with consolidation buying”.
Soegiharto who also called Hoky conveyed that this expo should be capitalized by local businesses and MSMEs who aim to create their own electronic brand, starting from OEM/ODM. Hoky conveyed that the local content requirement (TKDN) of local businesses products can be enhanced later when the brand is well-established.
He added that Global Sources Indonesia could stimulate the enhancement of local OEM/ODM brands and strengthen the bilateral trade relationships between countries.
Align with Hoky’s statement, Chairman of Indonesian Sports Equipment and Clothing Association (Equinoc) Dimas Yustisia Putra conveyed that the trend for sports equipment and clothing rise significantly for the last 5 years. Therefore, Global Sources Indonesia is expected to provide local and international businesses to collaborate in order to seize this opportunity.
Indonesian Statistics (BPS) projected that the market for sports equipment will grow by 7% to 10% until 2029. This trend is driven by the rising trend of healthy lifestyles and the enhancement of people’s awareness of the importance of physical activities.
