Heaptalk, Jakarta — Ten Indonesian designers and brands will showcase their finest works at Front Row Paris on September 7, 2024. In its fifth year, the event will be held at Salle Wagram, a historic auditorium built in 1865 in Paris, France.
Front Row Paris is organized by the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) and Ditali Cipta Kreatif to support the government’s goal to establish Indonesia as one of the world’s fashion hubs. This event aims to be a gateway for Indonesian fashion designers and brands to attract international buyers, particularly from Europe.
This year’s activities include a fashion showcase, an exhibition, and business matching sessions targeting stakeholders, buyers, media, and influencers in Europe. The event is expected to facilitate long-term business collaborations or transactions, both B2B and B2C, between Indonesian designers and international buyers, especially from European countries. Around 50 buyers from the renowned Parisian luxury department store, Printemps Haussman, are confirmed to attend the event to explore potential business collaborations.
Supporting fashion education institutions
The ten Indonesian designers and fashion brands participating in Front Row Paris are Ali Charisma, Deden Siswanto, Lenny Agustin, Gregorius Vici x Lucent Skincare, Sofie, Testimo by SB x Jims Honey, A3 Studio, a Paris-based brand, and fashion students. The diversity of fashion styles with Indonesian identity, designed according to global trends and including sustainable fashion concepts, highlights the strengths of Indonesian fashion showcased at this event.

“Indonesian fashion products with Indonesian textiles or cultural elements receive appreciation and a positive image from the European market, which will be further strengthened in the future. Through this event, Indonesian designers and brands can gain a more concrete understanding of the needs and business potential in the European fashion market,” explained Ali Charisma, Advisory Board member of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber.
Furthermore, Front Row Paris also supports the efforts of fashion education institutions in Indonesia to produce competent graduates ready to compete in the national and international fashion industries. Institutions such as Binus University and BBPPMPV Business and Tourism, under the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, are bringing students from SMKN 8 Makassar, SMKN 6 Padang, and SMKN 1 Kendal to showcase their work at Front Row Paris 2024. The Indonesian Embassy in Paris also supports this event to promote Indonesian fashion excellence to the global market through Europe.
