Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based independent financial planning firm Zapfinance is poised to conduct a series of #ZapfinanceCareforTeacher events to elevate and socialize financial literacy among Indonesian teachers.
The program that is named as a series of De’Java Roadshows will be conducted in 7 cities across Java, including Sleman, Semarang, Gunung Kaler, Depok, Bekasi, and Bogor starting from November 24th, 2023. This event will also present a national online webinar for teachers centered in DKI Jakarta that will be participated by more than 500 teachers.
“In commemorating Zapfinance’s 15th anniversary, we would like to present a financial literacy educational gift for teachers in Indonesia. We believe that good financial literacy will help them in their practice in daily life. Besides, this program is also expected to bolster teachers in providing financial literacy to their students and student parents.” The CEO and Principal Consultant of Zapfinance, Prita Hapsari Ghozie. This agenda is a form of Zapfinance’s appreciation move devoted to teachers for their role in education. Hence, the firm also expected them to have wise financial planning in the current economic situation, including the trap of illegal online loans, which cause financial problems. According to Indonesia’s Financial Authority Service (OJK) report, the data revealed that around 43% of Indonesian teachers are frequently victims of online loans due to their low salaries, compared to Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Zapfinance aims to boost Indonesian teacher’ awareness to manage their finance appropriately through this series of events. It is claimed that this factor is closely related to the mental health of teachers and people around the school because it influences the learning process at school, which has an impact on students.
In conjunction with its anniversary, this financial firm also renewed its logo containing three philosophies, including:
- Becoming a unified place in financial literacy is represented by the continuous writing of Zapfinance.
- Becoming a leader in pulling the financial literacy train for the Indonesian people, represented by the dominant capital letter Z.
- The letter Z, shaped like an arrow, represents the company’s expectation to always enhance based on correct financial literacy knowledge.
“By possessing comprehensive financial literacy, we will be able to plan financial goals and have the habit of saving and investing to help the economy of teachers in Indonesia.” concluded Prita.
