Heaptalk, Jakarta – After being postponed for a year, Indonesia New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) is poised to return on 12 to 14 July 2023 at ICE BSD, Tangerang. Road to this amazing event, the Indonesia Renewable Energy Society (METI) hold the launch of the 11th Indonesia EBTKE Conference and Exhibition 2023 in the Auditorium EBTKE, Jakarta. (05/09)

During this occasion, the Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dadan Kusdiana, explained that the 11th EBTKE ConEx is expected to increase awareness about the importance of energy transition and the use of sustainable energy for the future. The conference also will present comprehensive activities to advocate the adoption of sustainable energy to achieve an energy mix of 23% in 2025.

“Government is committed to conducting energy transition and optimizing the use of new and renewable energy. Several measures, including creating a policy concerning early retirement of coal-fired power plants, and developing the utility of solar, geothermal, and energy from renewable energy, are performed continuously to achieve net zero emission in 2060. For this reason, I hope EBTKE ConEx 2023 can be a moment for all stakeholders to support this goal. I hope this agenda can be held successfully, and not only being an amazing event but also be the highest commitment of all stakeholders,” stated Director General New and Renewable Energy and Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Adopting the theme ‘From Commitment to Action: Safeguarding Energy Transition Towards Indonesia Net Zero Emissions 2060’, this event features several enticing agendas, including conference, special sessions, training, podcast, business matching and business presentation, focus group discussion, showcase corner, green job fair, Greentech/cleantech startup, and exhibition concerning technology, policy, and best practices of sustainable clean energy.

This agenda also is part of the annual national event, The 1st Indonesia Clean Energy Week (ICEW) which is expected to inform international society regarding Indonesia’s effort to develop and use sustainable clean energy. In addition, the Chairman of Steering Committee Indonesia EBTKE ConEx 2023, Eka Satria, explained that this conference and exhibition aims to attract local and global investors to invest.

For additional information, ICEW is initiated by METI and Indonesia Efficiency Energy and Conservation Energy Society (MASKEEI) which contains two events, The 11th Indonesia EBTKE ConEx 2023 and The 4th Indonesia Energy Efficiency and Conservation Conference and Exhibition (IEECCE). The focus discussion of these two events will complement each other. In more detail, the 11th EBTKE ConEx will discuss the essential aspects of the supply chain, while the 4th IEECCE will focus on critical aspects of the demand for clean energy in Indonesia, and also the global perspective.
