Heaptalk, Jakarta — The entrepreneurial competition Diplomat Success Challenge (DSC) Season 15 has officially begun with a stronger commitment by disbursing business capital grants totaling Rp2.5 billion, approximately US$151,843 (US$1 equals Rp16,464) (06/20).
By participating in this competition, young entrepreneurs can exhibit their innovative business ideas and gain valuable skills, develop effective business strategies, and expand their professional network. Registration for business ideas is open until September 22, 2024.
This year’s DSC pays special attention to the blue economy and the sustainable use of marine resources to support economic growth, improve welfare, and preserve marine ecosystems. Entrepreneurs are expected to be able to utilize marine potential inclusively, thereby contributing to economic growth in Indonesia.
Carrying out program activation with communities
As an entrepreneurial ecosystem, DSC serves as a support system among stakeholders who want to synergize and network to take advantage of greater opportunities through business practices based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. “The principle of sustainability in ESG broadens the meaning of business success not only in terms of profit but also how business actors can contribute to the wider community, ultimately achieving shared success,” stated DSC Founding Father and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Surjanto Yasaputera, at the launch of Diplomat Success Challenge Season 15 in South Jakarta (06/20).
Adopting the theme #BersamaMeraih Sukses, which translates to together achieve success, Season 15 will emphasize program activation with entrepreneur communities to expand outreach. DSC Season 15 will also collaborate again with the Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association (Apindo) in preparing showcase events for entrepreneurs.
Since its inception in 2010, DSC has been a pioneering entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia that consistently creates character-driven entrepreneurs. A series of coaches will fill DSC Season 15 to provide mentorship and assistance to participants as incubator masters, including M. Jupaka (Serial-preneur), Andanu Prasetyo (CEO of Maka Group, Founder of Toko Kopi Tuku), Nilamsari (Founder & Business Development Director of PT Sari Kreasi Boga, Tbk.), and Arif Budiman (CEO of PT Agrindo).
Public enthusiasm for the program continues to increase every year. This year, DSC is optimistic about reaching a wider range of prospective program participants and the public through the entrepreneurial literacy provided by DSC. “The start of the DSC program always receives a positive response because the DSC ecosystem has a real impact in helping entrepreneurs develop their businesses,” concluded Edric Chandra, DSC program initiator.
