Heaptalk, Jakarta — In collaboration with the Museum of Toys (MOT), Binus Alam Sutera is organizing the Local Brand Festival 2024 from September 27 to October 6, 2024, at the Broadway Area of Flavor Bliss, Serpong, South Tangerang.

The event will feature 140 booths from hundreds of students majoring in business creation at the university. Each booth will showcase over 500 product items, 80% of which are food and beverages (F&B), and the remainder are fashion and other retail products.

“This local brand festival showcases how young student entrepreneurs present their products. Not only on their own but also through collaborations with artists, public figures, and the Museum of Toys,” said Eka Maya Sari, a representative from Binus Alam Sutera University, on Tuesday (09/24).

Thus, as young entrepreneurs, the students can create, develop, and continue their products, which can inspire Generation Z, who may become the next wave of young entrepreneurs, to create new, locally made products. Eka conveyed that the event will feature exciting workshops, local product exhibitions, and expert mentoring. The festival also highlights collaborations with several creative Indonesian artists.

Meanwhile, Deasy Varianti, the founder of MOT, mentioned that many artists under MOT collaborate with Binus students to create products. Although this is the first collaboration between the two parties, she acknowledged that the students possess a highly creative spirit. Deasy said, “The hope is that every Binus Creation entrepreneur can share and provide experiences through this event. During the exhibition, our artists will also be present.”

In the same opportunity, influencer and Founder of Jakarta Sneakers Day, Anugrah Aditya, stated that the Local Brand Festival is a significant platform for starting a movement to create and appreciate locally made products. “This festival will be a place for exchanging ideas and meaningful discussions for advancing our local brands,” Anugrah concluded.
