Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indocomtech, Indonesia’s biggest IT exhibition, is held in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta (06/22). Employing Discover the Possibilities as its theme, the exhibition is dedicated to IT industry players to showcase their latest innovations, branding, and extend market penetration this year.

The opening ceremony of the 28th Indocomtech was marked by the ribbon cutting by Indonesia’s Computer Traders Association (APKOMINDO) Board of Trustee, Chris Irwan Japari. The agenda also is witnessed by the Director of Cannon Business Unit Data Script Monica Asyasetiawan, and Soetadji, Aless’s representative.

“Information Technology has penetrated all sectors. Let’s make Indocomtech a great moment to witness the technology development in Indonesia by presenting various advanced technology from the various sector. I hope this event can motivate people to expedite digitalization in Indonesia,” stated Chris in his opening speech (06/22).

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) shows gross added value contributed by the IT and telecommunication sector enhanced by 7.41% year on year (YoY) to Rp181.72 billion or USD12.25 million (USD1 equals Rp14,836) in Q1 2022. This number is above the national economic value average, considered the greatest growth.

For this reason, Chris expected to promote people utilizing digital space appropriately and increase synergy between stakeholders and the Government regarding technology infrastructure. This measure can be embodied by the contribution of the IT industry sector in providing advanced products to accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation.

Chris, further, affirmed that Indocomtech 2022 will delivers 75 brands from the IT sector to offer their best promotion. The Board of Trustees also shared that the exhibition is targeted to reach 50,000 to 100,000 visitors. By implementing the health protocols, Chris shared that achieving the target is likely to happen.

In its implementation, Indocomtech 2022 will be enlivened by well-known brands, such as Zyrex, HP, ASUS, CANON, Lenovo, Datascrip, EPSON, AMD, Erafone, etc. In addition to presenting the newest technology product, the event also serves attractive programs, including 3D Competition, coding competition, AMD E-Sport Challenges, and talk shows concerning technology in the education field. The ticket for this event is priced at Rp25,000 or USD1.68, which can be accessed through loket.com.

“We found multiple challenges to organize Indocomtech 2022. Apart from these challenges, we will continue to invite people to know the IT development in Indonesia. By adopting Discover the Possibilities as the theme, technology devices we present is expected to be a solution for building a better life in this endemic era,” uttered Chris in his closing statement.
