Heaptalk, Jakarta — To celebrate its 50-year journey, Foot Locker held the global campaign ‘Since Day One’ to spread enthusiasm and inspiration. This campaign highlights the brand’s close relationship with sneaker communities worldwide. Since Day One commemorates the community’s support since Foot Locker’s inception and how sneaker culture has evolved into an essential part of lifestyle and self-expression.

One of the event’s main highlights was the Workshop by Local Stranger, a collaboration between Foot Locker and Nike. This workshop invited participants to create custom versatile straps that can be used as accessories for bags or pants, offering space for creativity while crafting something functional and stylish. Experts also guided participants in exploring sneaker and fashion culture, which aligns with Foot Locker’s 50-year vision.

In addition, Foot Locker Day featured a session called ‘Culture Talks with Matthew Welty’ from Complex, which discusses global sneaker trends and their growth in Indonesia. This talk show provided valuable insights for the local community about Indonesia’s position in the worldwide sneaker scene.

The event also featured various other activities, including a 3×3 Basketball Competition at Nike Court and a Dance Battle presented by Asics. In the evening, the main stage was filled with performances from renowned musicians such as Ramengvrl, Saykoji, and Santamonica, bringing excitement until the end of the event.

Vitra Widinanda, Brand Marketing Foot Locker Indonesia, stated, “Foot Locker Day is not just about celebrating our history but also the future. This event proves that creativity and passion continue to drive sneaker culture, both globally and in Indonesia. We are very proud to collaborate with Nike and Local Stranger to inspire the next generation of creatives and sneakerheads through this workshop. Enjoy 50 years of innovation, community, and self-expression.”

Foot Locker Day marks its 50th anniversary and serves as a platform for the local sneaker community to interact, learn from experts, and explore the latest streetwear trends. It is an exceptional opportunity to witness exclusive collaborations while experiencing moments that enrich the sneaker culture in Indonesia.
