Heaptalk, Jakarta – Committed to supporting young people in making a positive impact on society, Astra has officially announced the return of its annual event, the 16th SATU Indonesia Awards (02/28).
With the theme “Satukan Gerak, Terus Berdampak” (means: Unite in Action, Continue to Make an Impact), Astra organized the Kick-Off event for the 16th SATU Indonesia Awards 2025, marking the official start of the participant registration period from February 28 to July 28, 2025.
During the kick-off event, Boy Kelana Soebroto, Head of Corporate Communication of Astra, emphasized Astra’s commitment to youth empowerment. “Last week, Astra celebrated its 68th anniversary. Through this program, Astra encourages young Indonesians to continue striving and making an impact in our society,” he stated.
Award Categories and Benefits
Finalists of the SATU Indonesia Awards will be grouped into five key sectors, including health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, and technology. Since its inception, the awards have recognized 726 winners, including 96 national-level winners and others at the provincial level. Winners will receive numerous benefits, including a cash prize of IDR 65 million, funding support for project implementation, mentorship, networking opportunities through Kampung Berseri Astra or Desa Sejahtera Astra, and enhanced credibility for their initiatives.

Growing Enthusiasm for the Program
A renowned actress Dian Sastro, who serves as a jury member, highlighted the growing enthusiasm for the awards. She noted that in 2024, the number of participants increased by 11.8% to reach 16,775 applicants compared to the previous year. “The high enthusiasm for this program signifies its continued popularity and the growing desire among Indonesians to make a difference in their communities,” stated Dian Sastro.
Judging Criteria
During the event, Head of Brand Communications Astra, Yudha Prasetya, outlined the key evaluation criteria for the awards:
- Motive – The purpose behind the initiative, innovation, and methods used.
- Obstacles – Challenges faced by the finalist and how they overcome it.
- Outcome – The impact generated.
- Outreach – The reach and influence of the project.
- Sustainability – Long-term feasibility which alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“The sustainability aspect is crucial as Astra aims to ensure that these innovations align with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles,” explained Yudha.
Requirements to Participate in the Award
To participate in the 16th SATU Indonesia Awards 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The program must be initiated by an individual or a group.
- The initiator or team leader must be 35 years old or younger at the time of registration.
- The leader serves as the project representative and cannot be replaced.
- The initiative must be original and independent of any corporation, foundation, or institution.
- The project must have been active for at least one year.
- The initiative must not have previously received benefits from Astra Group.
- The initiative should not have won any national or international awards.
- The initiative should align with sustainability aspects (ESG principles).
- Employees of Astra Group and SATU Indonesia Awards partners are not eligible.
- Applicants can self-nominate or nominate others.
This year, Astra also announced an expansion of the number of judges from 10 to 11 judges, with the presence of Raline Syah, a Special Staff at Komdigi. With the 16th SATU Indonesia Awards 2025, Astra claimed to provide a platform for young Indonesians to create meaningful change and drive innovation for a better future.
