ARCH:ID 2022 festival is back, showing Indonesia’s architectural diversity

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia Architecture Conference and Exhibition (ARCH:ID) will be organized on July 14th – 17th, 2022, at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang. Set professional ecosystem as the target visitors, the exhibition aims to create collaborations in the architectural sectors. 

The exhibition is initiated by Indonesia Institutes of Architects (IAI) and PT Citra Innovation Strategy (CIS) Exhibition. Adopting ‘Sebentang, Serentang, and Segendang’ as the theme, ARCH:ID will showcase Indonesia’s architectural diversity.

In the press conference, the ARCH:ID festival curator, Ramadhoni Dwipayana, delivered his statement, “This festival will entail the entire architectural sector in Indonesia. Also, it will present the heterogeneity of Indonesia’s architectural practice, aligned with the theme.”

Doni added that the ARCH:ID festival will hold road show in West Pavilion Indonesia (Medan) and East (Makassar) to demonstrate the spirit of this year. He looks forward to Indonesia’s designers and architects around these regions to participate in this special event.

The architectural conference will introduce numerous well-known architects as a spokesperson from multiple cities and countries, spanning the Masahiro Kino (Japan); Pitupong Chaowakul (Thailand); Damith Premathilake (Srilanka); Liu Yichun (China); Setiadi Sopandi (Jakarta); Gregorius Supie Yolodi and Maria Rosantina (Jakarta); I Ketut Dirgantara (Bali); Franky Parulian Simanjuntak (Medan), and Muhammad Ikhsan Hamiru (Makassar). 

This International conference session will be organized from June 14th to 15th, 2022, to share the stories of various architectural practices. Through this exciting session, the participants will gain fruitful insights, and the event also is expected to harmonize the architectural diversity in Indonesia. 

Presenting curated exhibition, the exhibition will deliver different experiences to the visitors as the design will go beyond the common conventional design. The promoters will set the height of the exhibitors’ booth to create a skyline and architectural ambiance. 

In addition to providing the exhibition of IAI’s partners, ARCH:ID will also exhibit a Featured Exhibition of the young architects’ creations. The events include a Student Best Final Project, Health x Architecture – How Architecture Combats Disease, Sustainable Construction Material Awards, IAI Awards and Four Nations Book, IAI Bali, and Indonesian Architecture Week (IAWR). 

As the most awaited architectural festival, the presence of this exhibition is also enlivened by other additional programs, including Talk Series with numerous topics, Pavilion West and East Indonesia, Building Information Modelling (BIM) Workshop, and ARCH:ID Night. 

ARCH:ID 2022 will address the architectural industry players, covering architects, contractors, property developers, interior designers, government institutions, distributors, agents, importers, exporters, and academists. Through this festival, they can build business relations and knowledge-sharing to play a role in establishing better architecture in Indonesia. (SFM)
