Heaptalk, Jakarta — PLN participates in the International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) 2024 by showcasing high-quality products from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that it mentors. The event will take place at Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, from October 2 to 6. PLN will present products from 15 young entrepreneurs and 2 MSMEs run by people with disabilities.
Gregorius Adi Trianto, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and CSR at PLN, explained that PLN’s participation in Inacraft 2024 demonstrates its commitment to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in supporting Indonesian MSMEs’ growth. “PLN not only focuses on providing reliable electricity for the public, but we are also deeply committed to advancing MSMEs in Indonesia. For us, this is essential since MSMEs are one of the foundations of the nation’s economy,” said Gregorius.
Under the theme ‘Synergize Your Craft Power,’ Gregorius hopes that Inacraft 2024 will become a platform for synergy between PLN and MSMEs in creating creative, high-value, and sustainable products. At this event, PLN will showcase products from 15 young entrepreneurs it mentors from multiple regions in Indonesia. The displayed products are primarily aimed at the youth market and emphasize sustainability principles.
Paste Lab from Yogyakarta will bring handicrafts made from recycled plastic, Hexagon from Jakarta will present accessories made using expired makeup as a dye, Didik Warsito from Yogyakarta and D’Belel will display fashion items made from fabric scraps and recycled jeans, and Astagunaku will showcase fashion products dyed with natural colors. PLN’s mentored MSMEs will also collaborate with two artists, Wacky and Yessiow, to create collaborative products in fashion and recycled plastic.
In addition to eco-friendly products, PLN also features two MSMEs that collaborate with disability communities. Some examples include Kreaby, which offers fashion and tumblers created by children with autism, and Puka, which produces accessories by empowering people with disabilities. “By participating in Inacraft 2024, we hope that PLN’s mentored MSMEs can expand the marketing of their products nationally and even internationally,” concluded Gregorius.
