Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF) 2024, one of the critical events for the global tourism industry, will take place at Swissotel PIK 2, Jakarta, from October 2 to 4, 2024. This event is expected to serve as a platform for generating new ideas, building networks, and exploring business opportunities.

As a B2B trade fair, WITF 2024 will be a business meeting ground for buyers and sellers, strengthening connections and collaboration within the tourism sector. The event will bring together professionals, thought leaders, and key stakeholders worldwide to drive innovation, sustainability, and strategic partnership.

WITF 2024 will feature an exhibition showcasing the latest travel technologies, sustainable tourism innovations, and Indonesia’s top cultural destinations. Key sessions will cover important topics such as digital transformation, sustainable tourism, and post-pandemic recovery strategies. Participants will also enjoy talks from various industry stakeholders and the Top Tourism Leaders Forum, one of the event’s highlights. Networking sessions will offer valuable opportunities to connect with domestic and international tourism professionals.

Budi Tirtawisata, Chair of the WITF 2024 Steering Committee, said, “WITF 2024 successfully hosts nearly 200 buyers from 38 countries and is expected to generate business for tourism stakeholders in Indonesia, enabling the creation of quality tourism products and favorable economic scales for all tourism players involved in WITF 2024.”

Hariyadi Sukamdani, Chairman of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI), also emphasized the importance of this event, “The Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair 2024 is a significant milestone in building a strong Indonesian tourism industry by promoting various tourist destinations as well as international-scale MICE and Event activities.” This message reflects optimism for the growth of Indonesian tourism as a top global destination.

One of the main partners, Bank Central Asia (BCA), represented by Hendra Tanumihardja, EVP of Transaction Banking and Partnership Solutions at BCA, said, “We are very pleased to support WITF 2024. We believe this event will enhance the promotion of Indonesian tourism while also introducing BCA banking solutions and its Bakti BCA Empowered Villages such as Kampung Adat Nagari Sijunjung, Wayang Tourism in Wukirsari Village, and several other tourist villages in Indonesia.”

As the official venue partner, Fenny Maria, Head of Tourism Development at Agung Sedayu Group, said, “PIK 2 is a mega-development only 7 minutes from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Aiming to be one of Indonesia’s top tourist destinations, PIK 2 offers a unique attraction with world-class facilities and cultural diversity. We are committed to high-quality, sustainable tourism products that benefit local communities while preserving the environment.”
