Heaptalk, Jakarta – The 32nd GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is poised to be organized from July 24 to August 3, 2025, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang Regency. Organized by GAIKINDO in collaboration with Seven Event, the show will carry the theme “Empowering the Future”, showcasing cutting-edge automotive technology and innovation from more than 55 renowned global brands.

Despite global economic uncertainties, GAIKINDO remains optimistic about the Indonesia’s automotive industry resilience. Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of GAIKINDO, stated, “Indonesia’s automotive sector still has the potential to grow as long as we remain optimistic, cautious, and rational. One key effort is to maintain and stimulate market demand—both domestic and international.”

For information, Indonesia currently exports to over 90 countries and continues to attract strong investment interest from global automotive manufacturers. “New brands continue to queue to enter the Indonesian market. As long as they comply with government regulations, GAIKINDO sees this positively as it drives investment, production, and domestic market activity,” stated Nangoi.

He also noted that Indonesia has become one of the countries with the most diverse automotive brand presence, including manufacturers from the U.S., Europe, Japan, South Korea, and China. “This diversity will be clearly reflected at GIIAS 2025. We are confident that each edition of GIIAS brings renewed energy and innovation. With more global brands joining, the event will continue to be a comprehensive platform for showcasing cutting-edge vehicles and accelerating Indonesia’s automotive growth.”

As of April 2025, over 55 global automotive brands have confirmed their participation. Rizwan Alamsyah, GAIKINDO’s Vice Chairman III and Head of the GIIAS Organizing Committee, highlighted the unique value of the event, “Unlike other international auto shows that are often dominated by a few brands, GIIAS 2025 offers a truly diverse range. All leading global automotive names, along with several new entrants, will be represented throughout the exhibition.”

Rizwan emphasized the high enthusiasm from participants. “We’re grateful for the tremendous response. The entire exhibition area is fully booked, and some brands are even on the waiting list. We’re working hard to accommodate them, including adding innovative updates to Hall 11 to enhance comfort and the overall experience.”

The world-class automotive brands set to participate include passenger vehicle manufacturers including AION, Aletra, Audi, BAIC, BMW, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, Denza, DFSK, Ford, Geely, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jaecoo, Jeep, Jetour, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Polytron, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Wuling. Commercial vehicle brands include Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, and UD Trucks. “This year’s show will also see the return of brands that have been absent in recent years,” added Rizwan.

GIIAS 2025 will also welcome 13 motorcycle brands, including Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Exotic, Kupprum, Maka Motor, Moto Guzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, U-Winfly, and Vespa. In addition, three major coachbuilders—Adiputro, Laksana, and Tentrem—will also participate the expo.

GIIAS The Series Expands to Five Cities

Following the main exhibition in BSD, the GIIAS The Series 2025 will continue across four other Indonesian cities. The second leg kicks off in Surabaya (August 27–31 at Grand City Convex), followed by Semarang (September 24–28 at Muladi Dome), Bandung (October 1–5 at Sudirman Grand Ballroom), and Makassar (November 5–9 at Sumarecon Mutiara Makassar), marking its return since 2019.
