Heaptalk, Jakarta — The West Jakarta Administration through the Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-department (Sudis Nakertransgi) has partnered with PT Pertamina Niaga to promote the use of Quick Response Code (QR Code) for purchasing the subsidized fuel Pertalite. The socialization took place in the Ali Sadikin Room on Monday (08/12).
Angga Septian, Head of the Energy Section at Sudis Nakertransgi Jakarta Barat, mentioned that about 250 people participated in the socialization event aimed at trialing this specialized fuel. This QR Code purchasing scheme is set to be implemented in September.
The purpose of using the QR Code is to increase Regional Original Income through motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) and more accurately targeted fuel subsidies. “It also aims to save state budget funds by providing accurate data through the QR Code. This will allow us to filter the data more effectively for targeted purposes,” said Angga.
In the coming month, starting from August 1, Pertamina and the West Jakarta Government will conduct socialization and encourage the public to register on My Pertamina website. “For the next month, we will focus on socialization and public registration first. The trial will then begin in September 2024,” he added.
The proposed Pertalite quota for Jakarta’s Provincial Government to the central government in 2024 is 307,808 kiloliters, while diesel is 102,286 kiloliters. Currently, there are 46 gas stations in the West Jakarta area. “There are 47 gas stations in West Jakarta, including COCO, CODO, and DODO stations,” noted Angga.
Bagus Sulistio Hadi, Branch Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Jakarta Region, explained that in the future, Pertalite consumers will be required to register their vehicles, enabling user data and purchase transactions being recorded. He said, “Pertamina will conduct vehicle data verification and matching based on the reference data at gas stations.”
To obtain Pertalite, consumers can register through the My Pertamina website. The implementation of QR Codes for fuel purchases is expected to assist in consumer data recording and encourage potential increases in regional revenue through PBBKB payments.
