Heaptalk, Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, officially launched GovTech Indonesia, named INA Digital, on Monday (27/05). PERURI has been appointed as the SPBE operator and driving force behind integrating the government’s digital service ecosystem following Presidential Regulation 82 of 2023.
“To enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness, we must strengthen our digital public infrastructure, akin to a digital toll road for public service digitalization,” said President Jokowi.
Joko Widodo also emphasized the need for cooperation and integration among ministries, agencies, and local governments. “Every ministry, agency, and local government must work together to achieve application and data integration and interoperability,” added President Indonesia.
The Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Abdullah Azwar Anas, stressed that integrating government digital services would be accelerated following the launch of INA Digital. He added that several priority services would be incorporated into a single public service portal, set to launch in September 2024.
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir explained that PERURI was selected to operate INA Digital based on its strong digital portfolio, demonstrated by various government digital services that have been its flagship products. Erick further affirmed that this assignment is the proper choice to boost the competitiveness of state-owned enterprises in the digital sector.
PERURI’s CEO, Dwina Septiani Wijaya, expressed, “We are very grateful to the President for officially launching GovTech Indonesia and for the trust placed in PERURI. We also appreciate the support from the Ministry of PANRB and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises in supporting government digital transformation through INA Digital. PERURI will carry out this mandate to the best of our abilities, and we are ready to play a key role in accelerating national progress,” she said.
PERURI’s appointment as GovTech Indonesia is a testament to its consistent digital transformation efforts over the past few years. The launch of digital products in 2019 is concrete evidence of PERURI’s commitment to adapting to technological advancements and leveraging its business in the digital security sector.
PERURI, owned entirely by the government, has also successfully carried out the mandate to produce electronic stamps. This innovation has embraced digitalization, contributing positively to speeding up administrative processes and increasing government efficiency.
“The transformation process we undertake not only focuses on business and infrastructure but also recognizes the importance of quality human resources. Thus, PERURI has brought in the best digital talents to support the success of the government’s digital transformation,” said Dwina.
She mentioned that all PERURI employees are currently fully certified as digital talents, placing PERURI in the second-highest position among all state-owned enterprises.
