With 23,657 registered participants, Diplomat Succes Challenge (DSC) 2022 recorded that the food and beverage (F&B) sector dominated this business competition, attaining 40% challengers.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — An entrepreneur competition, Diplomat Success Challenge has accomplished its business competition series in 2022. Involving around 23,657 registered participants, the committee has selected six challengers as the winner to seize the business capital reward at US$133,499 (approximately Rp2 billion) in total.

The winners consist of Dara Zam Chairyah from Denger-inD, I Kadek Karya Yoga Utama from RDNB Jewelry, Hedar from Nasi Kulit Syuurga, Diva Velda Hanifa from OhMyGetuk, Yessie Natasia Mareti from YORRI Eatery. This business program has also appointed the Best of the Best DSC 2022 category, namely Ria Ellysa, with her innovative ready-to-drink meal business model, OTERRA.

Further, this business competition also grants a special award as the Most Potential Business category devoted to Yodan Tunggul Pranata from Troya Academic Platform and Muhammad Fikri from Rumah Ice Cream Indonesia. To appreciate the winners, the elected finalists of DSC 2022 will be provided business guidance for two years and officially incorporated into the Diplomat Entrepreneur Network (DEN).

“In the 13th year of its implementation, the presence of DSC Challenge is not solely for the entrepreneurship incubator, yet becoming an integrated entrepreneur ecosystem. We also expect this program to be a benchmark for Indonesia’s economic improvement. Congratulations to the challengers who seized the capital facility. We hope the winners can create new tangible breakthroughs in the business industry,” The President Director of PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk, Ronald Walla, said.

The food and beverage category dominates the competition

Since the kick-off period on June 8th, 2022, the Food and Beverage (F&B) business category has dominated the competition. According to the committee record, DSC Challenge has accepted participants in this sector to around 40%, demonstrating this business category still becomes a preference for society to build their business.

Recognizing the F&B category dominates this program, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, who also served as the Founding Father of DSC, Surjanto Yasaputera, admitted, “DSC has experienced numerous food and beverage brands innovatively. As it is known, our eight finalists are dominated by the F&B business category. Several challenger products have also delivered solutions to the existing matter in society. Thus, we intend to continue to present these benefits through the DSC business competition,”

The food and beverage sector is anticipated to continue to evolve as the spike of online delivery services around multiple digital platforms in the country. Aligned with the Coach of DSC 2022, Andanu Prasetyo, numerous business practitioners perform their debut in this industry as the simplicity of the business model in conducting an end-to-end process. This opportunity would also extend market size more extensively around this sector.

To survive in the saturated food and beverage market, the DSC 2022 competition winners must amplify their brand awareness and message to be more acceptable to society. Therefore, they are also encouraged to perform product research and development to adjust to the market situation.
